According to the dictionary...To Restore is to "put the
figurine back to original condition using replacement components when
necessary"
Advantage: Undamaged replacement components are used to replace all damaged
components.
Advantage:
Properly restored, no defect will be detected, and the piece will be
‘like new’ and retain full value.
Disadvantage: Replacement components may be difficult to locate and may be
costly. This can make restoration and be a bit expensive.
Consideration: Replacement components are not available from Swarovski, so they
must be salvaged from other Swarovski figurines. |
